A new model of fisherman, the Tuccoli T250, presented in two versions. This is how the shipyard of Collesalvetti (Li) presents itself, which in two years of new corporate structure has completely renewed its range for a public of advanced sports anglers and yachting enthusiasts.
In order to meet the needs of the two reference markets, the Tuscan manufacturer, currently the longest-established Italian brand dedicated to the production of fisherman boats, has decided to offer its latest creation in two versions: the T 250 VM and the T250 Capraia. Two sides of the same boat that combines the marine qualities of a fishing boat with the needs of different types of boaters.
The T 250 VM is an uncompromised fisherman. Developed in collaboration with Marco Volpi, the 53 times world and national fishing champion from Livorno. It was him who defined the characteristics of his ideal boat, when after so much searching for the perfect boat he realized that he should have made it in his own image. “It must be a Tuccoli with Suzuki propulsion”. Designed and developed on the wishes of those who make boat fishing their main activity. The naval architecture was developed by Oris Martino D’Ubaldo, a designer also known for his sailing creations, such as the very fast Grand Soleil 34 and the Mini 650 Wevo.
The Tuccoli T 250 VM, with her pronounced V-hull and a 19.7-degree deadrise, is thus able to quickly reach fishing grounds even in the harshest sea conditions. And this perfect adaptation to environmental circumstances makes the models in Collesalvetti the ideal option for those who want to sail the Mediterranean. In addition, the hull is designed to guarantee stability both when at anchor and drifting. Despite the protection offered by the T Top in the helm station, the surface exposed to the wind remains below seven square meters.
Moreover, the T 250 VM features a considerable and customisable rod holder potential that can be positioned as desired. You can enjoy many live bait and fish tanks, worktops and even a shower to clean yourself and your boat. All this is part of an easily transportable boat. Power comes from the brand-new Suzuki DF 300 B, the first 300 HP outboard with double counter-rotating propeller.
During the Boat Show, this model will be visible at the Suzuki booth and available for sea trials.
The Capraia version, instead, on display at Tuccoli booth AA 17, is designed for a more recreational use. With a length of 7.5 meters, she is designed to enjoy a day at sea while benefiting from the advantages of a technical and performing hull. Power comes from two Suzuki DF 150AP engines. But the T 250 Capraia offers much more. Starting from the deck enriched with retractable bollards, a stern sofa with foldable backrest that can be converted into a sundeck. In the bow, the design office has added two additional backrests that come out of the gunwale thanks to an electronic control system, while the Besenzoni seats are specially saddled.
The loof shapes allow on the one hand to have a less wet boat, more stable when fishing and when at anchor, and on the other hand to obtain more space inside as far as the bow area is concerned. Interiors make the boat a weekender rather than a daycruiser. The bathroom is 95 cm deep and 180 cm wide, equipped with toilet and sink,; the double berth has 2×2 m bed while interior headroom reaches 1.85 meters. The absence of a deckhouse gives room for a 3-square-meter sun pad and facilitates circulation on board.
Thanks to her size, the T 250 is trailerable: a considerable advantage both for fishermen and for those who want to sail in different areas.
Interesting from a technical point of view is the construction process, which uses vinylester resin in the first layers to avoid osmosis and polyester resin in the following ones. In addition, the thickness of the gelcoat coating reaches 1.8mm against 1.5mm normally used. In addition, okumè marine plywood certified for structural reinforcement of laminates on the plating, 8- and 6-mm brass for mounting brackets and other areas particularly stressed or inaccessible.
