The 2019 Genoa Boat Show will be a good occasion to choose your boat, whatever your passion is. Among fisherman boats, the most important novelty comes from Tuccoli, a shipyard with 70 years of experience in nautical construction. The boat, 7.50 meters long by 2.54 meters wide, is called Tuccoli 250 VM, from the initials of Marco Volpi, the world fishign champion who has made an important contribution to the development of the concept, making the boat suitable for every fishing specialty: towing, drifting, deep fishing, spinning, vertical jigging etc.. Standard equipment includes rod holders, live bait and fish tanks, worktops, a shower and a lot of space for electronic equipment in the helm station.
The new Tuccoli 250 is built on the technical basis of the high efficiency hull made by Oris Martino D’Ubaldo. She differs from the previous models by propulsion, since she uses an outboard configuration instead of the traditional inboard one. A solution that brings the Tuccoli 250 VM in line with the best American fishing machines, which traditionally use outboards to be competitive not only in terms of purchase price.
The Collesalvetti-based shipyard interprets construction under the nameof beauty, quality and Made in Italy. Attention to detail and customization make the difference. “At Tuccoli you don’t come to buy a boat, you come to buy your own boat – says Paolo Sanguettola, the owner of the shipyard – because we customize every single unit to fully meet our customer’s tastes and needs”. Designed by Oris Martino D’Ubaldo, the hull is not only transportable but also offers maximum protection at sea and excellent usability. The bow, in fact, is high and bulwarks low.
The hull, designed to face the weather conditions of the Mediterranean Sea, whose waves are shorter and drier than the ocean ones, is optimized for outboard propulsion and, thanks to in-depth studies of fluodynamics, is able to ensure not only excellent seaworthiness, great stability both at sea and when the boat is stationary, but also significant performance with low fuel consumption, reduced operation costs and lower environmental impact.
The deck of the Tuccoli 250 VM features a center console layout, thus equipped with a central pilot and co-pilot’s seat, a 4.3-square-meter walkway and a cockpit with padded sides for better comfort when fishing.
The steering console of the Tuccoli 250 VM is protected by both a large windscreen and a fiberglass hard top, supported by steel tubulars that take up the style and size of the bow handrail. Compact on the outside but big on the inside, the T 250 VM, thanks to the center console, makes circulation on board agile and safe thanks to two 23 cm side-decks.
The Suzuki DF300B is the first and only 300HP outboard with double counter-rotating propeller for more torque and greater steering precision both in forward and reverse gear.
For those who want to experience the performance of the Tuccoli 250 VM during the Genoa Boat Show – 19/24 September – the boat will be available for sea trials in the Suzuki area adjacent to Pavilion B.
Finally, a note about the Tuccoli brand, The presence of Marco Tuccoli – the son of Ivano, the master shipwright from Livorno who founded the company, in Tuccoli’s management underlines the continuity in terms of experience over the 70 years of activity of the shipyard, which has always been appreciated by Italian and Mediterranean anglers. Today, the range includes five models. The T250 Capraia is a complete and refined cruiser with a cabin, a bathroom with shower and many details typical of larger boats, such as the retractable bollards, a sofa that can be transformed into a sundeck and additional electric backrests.
The shipyard’s range is completed by the T280, T370 and T440. While preserving their strong “fishing” vocation, Tuccoli boats are addressed to a heterogeneous clientele that chooses them for their seaworthiness, building quality and, above all, the level of customization they can offer. That’s why, while maintaining their fisherman style, Tuccoli boats are the ideal option for those who love cruising, sunbathing and having fun with friends and family.
